Shannon B. Boyd
Shannon Boyd is Principal of AMPED MEP, LLC. Shannon’s vast experience in the MEP world spans close to three decades starting as an entry-level draftsman to Chief Operating Officer within MEP and multidiscipline design firms. He is an accomplished leader with extensive engineering knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. Possessing a deep understanding of the Texas engineering and construction markets in all major metro areas allows him to quickly solve challenges, meet client needs, assist with negotiations and provide long-term value to each project.
Shannon has held key leadership roles with some of the top MEP firms in the state of Texas. This experience has enabled him to develop his keen eye for design and his passion for the MEP environment. Notable projects Shannon has been part of include, Circuit of the Americas – F1 Track Austin, TX, The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport projects, Apple Campus – Round Rock, TX, Sheraton Hotels and Conference Centers, Memorial Hermann Hospitals Houston TX, and millions of square feet of commercial and industrial design.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management and Accounting from Saint Edward’s University – Austin, Texas and he holds certifications and professional registrations including, LEED AP – USGBC Certified LEED Accredited Professional, American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) – Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD).
Shannon, his wife and three children live in Austin, Texas. In his free time, he is an Assistant Coach for the Bowie Bulldog Mountain Bike Team and an Assistant Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 395 South Austin. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, woodworking, home renovation projects, and being active in his church and community.

David Pich
David Pich is a Partner with AMPED MEP, LLC. David’s deep experience as a Consulting Engineer in the field of MEP provides AMPED clients a project leader with deep experience and knowledge in team management, project management, construction services, and design.
David’s career has spanned from several engineering firms from Lubbock Texas, Fairfax Virginia, Dallas Texas and Austin. Notable Projects David has been part of include, Samuel F Noble Foundation Administration Building in Ardmore, OK, RadioShack Riverfront Campus in Fort Worth, TX, W-Hotel, Dallas, TX, Hunt Oil, Dallas, TX, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance offices, Richardson, TX, Bethesda Place II, Bethesda, MD, One Freedom Square, Reston, VA.
David has worked as a Consulting Engineer and as a manufacturer of HVAC products, as Director of HVAC Technology for Titus. His time as a manufacturer gives him unique insight into the industry. During his career at Titus he participated and ran National committees for ASHRAE and AHRI. He was a contributing author on ASHRAE Handbook HVAC Applications, ASHRAE Handbook HVAC Systems and Equipment, ASHRAE Design Guide for Air Terminal Units. He directed and instructed in Titus University providing professional training for engineers, contractors and architects.
As a consulting engineer, David has designed MEP systems, provided MEP construction management, managed projects, mechanical departments and special project department as well as run national accounts.
David holds a BSME degree from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX and is a LEED Accredited Professional AP.
In his spare time, David spends time with his family, attends his children’s sports and theatrical events. He enjoys automobiles, technology, games and working on home improvement and automation projects.

E. Michael Blackwell
Michael Blackwell is our Project Leader here at AMPED MEP, LLC. With his wide range of project experience and knowledge, he is responsible for MEP engineering design, preparing project specifications, and providing contract administration.
Upon completing college, Michael was employed with an international turnkey laboratory provider. Starting in 2005, he entered the MEP consulting engineering field and has been gaining extensive knowledge ever since. With past positions ranging from entry-level draftsman to Director of Engineering, he is a very capable designer with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Michael has worked for a number of prominent MEP firms in the state of Texas, and in doing so, has worked on many noteworthy projects; such as, Samsung Austin Semiconductor Campus, Circuit of the Americas – Grand Stand in Austin, TX, Hyatt Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, Mixed-use Seaholm District Redevelopment in Austin, SXSW Center in Austin, Arena Tower (Domain) in Austin, Indeed Offices in Austin, CGG Offices in Houston, Accenture Offices in San Antonio and Austin, Pluckers Office Headquarters and Restaurants throughout Texas.
Michael holds an AAS degree, from ITT Technical Institute, along with certifications and professional registrations including LEED AP – USGBC Certified LEED Accredited Professional and American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) – Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD).
Michael and his wife have twin daughters, who are currently attending college. Now that his chauffeur duties have been lifted, in his recently obtained free time, he enjoys construction, DIY projects, gaming, BBQing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and almost any excuse to stay outside and active. If you are interested, he might even share some pictures from past DIY projects that include ping-pong robots, embellished custom shuffleboard tables, and many more!
